For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V., located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Purchase and Inventory Coordinator in the Parts and Accessories Division.

 

About the role: 

You will be checking the current sales demand, evaluating the current stock level, and replenishing our stock to suppliers and Yamaha factories around the world. You will be also tracking the outstanding purchase orders in our system in order to guarantee that these orders will be delivered according to the agreed schedule. In case of overdue purchase orders and/or backorder situations, you will take direct actions concerning supplier(s) to come up with countermeasures. Providing performance reports to management and other colleagues is also part of your role.  With your Sales colleagues, you will analyze the inventory levels in relation to expected sales (coming from market actions, new model introduction, etc.), and formulate actions to maintain the best allocation of parts to our customers.

On a daily basis, you receive inquiries from customer support, here you must take action to provide the proper feedback to them. These actions may be related to engaging the Factories and other stakeholders to come up with the best possible solution.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Inventory control, you analyze current parts demand and place the purchase order to our factories in order to reach the best balance between stock availability, factory production capacity, lead time, and sales demand;
  • Follow up on factories’ performance concerning allocation ratio, delivery performance, and quality. Based on factory performance you drive countermeasures to improve their performance;
  • Plan and actively participate in business meetings with stakeholders like factory team members, the product category team, the service department, and logistics coordinators to guarantee future demand and production capacity, focusing on the main needs and targets of the company;
  • Providing the Customer Support Colleagues with proper and prompt answers to market inquiries with the aim of providing the best response to our end customer (provide kando);
  • Prepare, develop, and deliver reports to senior management;
  • Monitor and Negotiate factories’ prices, and process price adjustments according to a set procedure.
  • During your daily duties find time to reflect if the job is performed in the most optimal way and if not propose feasible improvement.

 

 

 

 

 

About You!

An experienced and motivated colleague, happy to support the business and truly devoted to customer success. You have a strong interest in two-wheelers and/or technology. You are a humble team player, who is willing to learn and is not afraid to face challenges. Quality and professionalism lie close to your heart.


What do you bring?

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field;
  • A minimum of 5 years of business experience in the field of inventory management;
  • You can work accurately and have strong analytical skills in relation to product demand;
  • You are a self-starter and able to manage your duties and prioritize;
  • Functional experience in genuine parts, racing parts, engines, service kits, oil, care line products, label creation, and other parts and service-related areas;
  • Fluency in English is a must;
