For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V., located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a full-time Product Planner Motorcycle for our Product Planning Division.
About the role:
In this role you will help define the future direction of Yamaha’s motorcycling line-up. You will advance and manage segment category strategies in-line with the Mid Term Plan. Ideate innovative and attractive Motorcycle concepts and models by initiating and guiding the development of new projects, to ensure Yamaha have an up to date, complete and competitive Motorcycle line-up for the future European market.
Principle accountabilities:
- Strategy Analysis - Analyze market research and trend data, transpose legislative changes, identify key press information and input from national distributors. Define target areas/markets and make strategic proposals for the Motorcycle Midterm Plan.
- Motorcycle Project Management - Manage individual Motorcycle unit projects from ideation to market delivery.
- Motorcycle Colour line-up strategy – Lead Motorcycle color line-up strategy, in line with category and product specific coloring trends.
- Motorcycle Colour project management – Manage Motorcycle line up coloring development projects resulting from the Motorcycle coloring strategy.
- New product introduction support – Work closely with YME marketing to transmit the correct positioning information and key sales points for new models for campaign material, internal divisions, distributors and/or press.
- Market research – Arrange market research to determine product and customer trends.
- Advanced model development – Through awareness of emerging market trends, identify potential growth areas for future models.
Profile of the suitable candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably Engineering based.
- 2-5 years of work experience in a similar function.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written; Mastering other European languages is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills in an international environment.
- Analytical thinking, creativity, accuracy and able to apply strict deadlines.
- Working with own initiative as well as within a team will be essential.
What do we offer?
Other than a competitive salary, Yamaha offers you a 13th month payment, commuting allowance, 28 holidays a year and the opportunity to earn a bonus. You will work in an international environment in which you can learn and develop. Your first contract will be a temporary contract, but with the intension to extend or offer an indefinite contract.
