For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V., located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Product Category Coordinator in the Parts and Accessories Division.

About the role:

The Product Category Coordinator develops, executes, and manages business plans for all Yamalube lubricants and careline products, in line with the Department’s vision & strategy.

He/she will gather, analyze and report all relevant product category market- and business information, customer, and competitor data into a solid base for distributors, management, and relevant stakeholders to support strategy, category range, lifecycle, business direction, and budget creation.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Gathering, analyzing, and providing market data (e.g. market size, share, pricing, and competitor information);
  • Collecting, analyzing, and reporting category and/or product segment performance, fit-up ratios, and market data (region/country/distributor/key model/dealer), in order to initiate actions for dedicated categories, key models, or product segments and/or territories, harmonized on a European level to make sure to realize the quantitative and qualitative objectives as described in the single/consolidated original budget and Mid-term plan;
  • Coordinating all relevant Category or Product segment information (e.g. Distributor/Dealer and market requirements & feedback, competitor data, pricing, fit-up rate results), in order to advise, enable the optimization of Yamaha’s category/product offer, increase performance and competitiveness and advise the Department Manager on the category- and/or product segment strategy;
  • Work closely with the inventory team, monitoring on a day-to-day basis, category stock, and product lifecycle positioning, and initiating necessary or relevant actions (promotions, sell-out) to optimize inventory, availability, and time to market;

Initiate, identify, and coordinate network development activities for the assigned category and products and/or territory (region/country), in close collaboration with Distributors, in order to increase market share, fit-up rate, value spend per unit, cross-selling, and upselling opportunities at each layer of the distribution network, simultaneously cultivating and sharing best practices amongst our distributors and branch offices.

What do you bring?

• A Bachelor Degree or higher education in a related field; • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in sales and marketing of lubricants or chemical materials; • Experience with product development and market launch of lubricant oil or chemical materials;

• Knowledge of Lubricant and/or chemical business;
• Strong analytical skills in relation to sales results;
• Strong customer service skills with a strong sense of responsibility;
• Ability to work in a team and independently;
• Adaptable to challenging situations; • Fluency in English is a must. About Yamaha Motor:
